Checkout Help

Here are some suggestions if you reach an error during checkout:

1.) Check your Internet browser:  Our shopping cart interface works best with the Microsoft Explorer browser.  If you are a Safari or Mac user, and are having issues clearing your transaction, you might consider using Microsoft Explorer for this occasion or placing your order by phone: 917-881-9044, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Eastern Standard (Visa or MasterCard).

2.) Check your billing address:  If you are using PayPal, PayPal may display an error messages if the address in the address field does not match your credit card billing address, i.e., a message that says, "Merchant requires goods be shipped to same address. Transaction not completed."  This is part of PayPal's security program to protect buyers and sellers from unauthorized transactions. Upon entering the PayPal screen of the checkout process, PayPal may have already filled out the address field boxes with a GIFT address, instead of your BILLING ADDRESS.  H Barry Boo already knows your gift address from the SHIPPING screen; PayPal only wants your BILLING address.

You need to click the blue CHANGE link below that address and replace it with YOUR BILLING ADDRESS.  The information you enter in the PayPal screens must match your BILLING ADDRESS, the place you receive your statements each month.  This is important anti-fraud protection.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at (917) 881-9044.

3.)  Check the STREET address you entered:  Check for mis-spelling or spacing errors.  Do not use the # sign in a street address. If you live in an apartment, suite or dedicated floor ("5th Floor"), enter that in the SECOND address line, not the first.  Omit apostrophes and other punctuation.  If you live on a street that is named with a number, like "12 6 Flags Lane," confirm that there are no missed spaces, which could cause the address to be read as "126 Flags Lane."  If in doubt, spell out the whole street name, e.g., "12 Six Flags Lane."  If you live on a rural route, county road, state road (e.g., CR 77 or SR 76), or use a PO Box, you may want to confirm your delivery address on http://www.usps.com.  Click "Find a Zip Code" and enter your PO address.  If it is not confirmed with a zip code, try your street address.

4.) Check PayPal log-in status:  If you or other users of this computer have PayPal accounts, but want to make your Car Seat Poncho purchases with a credit card, make sure you/other PayPal users are logged off of PayPal.  Sometimes an "incomplete transaction" error occurs because the customer (who would prefer to use a credit card), or another user of that computer, DOES have a PayPal account. This is part of PayPal's program to protect buyers and sellers from fraud and unauthorized transactions. When a PayPal user wants to use a credit card to place an order instead of PayPal funds, the shopping cart interface recognizes the computer's IP address, and wants to match it to the Paypal account. That shopper sees the message, "Information does not match account. Transaction not completed."  If you have received that message, please be assured that no funds have been charged to your account.

To complete the purchase, clear your cart and manually log out of the PayPal account (or have the person who holds the PayPal account log out).  Then open a new browser window and begin a new shopping cart.

5.)  Check with your credit card company:  Error messages can also be triggered when there is a recent change in the status of the account (change of address, switch to/from debit or credit), or unusual activity.  One customer had recently returned from a vacation abroad, and the card issuer blocked the transaction because of recent activity in that country the day before. If this occurs, please be assured that no funds have been charged to your account.
